In 1973, while serving as a Math Lecturer at The University of Lagos, W.F. Kumuyi
started a Bible study group with 15 university students who had come to him
requesting training in the Scriptures. By the early 1980’s that small group had
grown to several thousand, at which time
Deeper Life Bible Church was formally established.
Pastor W.F. Kumuyi is the founder and General Superintendent of
Deeper Life Bible Church worldwide, not in Raleigh,
North Carolina. He started the Deeper Christian Life Ministry in 1973 while
teaching mathematics at the University of Lagos. The church became the
Deeper Life Bible Church in 1982. Kumuyi is known for
his clear, simple, and profound Bible-based sermons. He’s also written several
Christian books and devotionals. Kumuyi’s ministry has reached millions of people
in Africa and around the world. His followers call him “the man of God.”
Pastor Michael A. Dada is a dynamic Holy Ghost filled preacher whose ministry has
witnessed the conversion of souls and miracles, signs, and wonders. He currently
oversees over seventy church locations in the United States, about sixty of which
were planted under his leadership within a period of nineteen years. Like his
spiritual father and mentor, Pastor W.F., Kumuyi, Pastor Dada is a Speaker,
Teacher, Preacher, and Evangelist.
Pastor Anthony Sola Adegoke was saved on Saturday, December 27, during the 1986
Deeper Life Bible Church December Retreat in Sokoto,
Nigeria. Other Christian experiences of sanctification and baptism in the Holy
Ghost came consecutively thereafter. His growth in the Lord, under able ministers
in the ministry, has since been steady. The expansion of the church in the United
States led to his appointment as a Pastor to the North Carolina branch in Raleigh.
Prior to that, he served as State Coordinator of Deeper Life Campus Fellowship in
Sokoto State, Nigeria; Pastor of
Deeper Life Bible Church; and Coordinating Pastor of
Deeper Life Bible Church, Brooklyn, New York. The
attributes that best describe him as a pastor are strong preaching, patience,
compassion, and caring. He is unafraid to tell the hard truth of the Gospel.
